Amanda + Tami’s Outdoor Wedding at Wolfe Heights Estate and Winery in Sacramento

Tami and Amanda tied the knot at the beautiful outdoor Sacramento venue Wolfe Heights Estates and Winery, located just south of Downtown Sacramento towards Elk Grove. The wedding was designed by Danielle Roe Events team of three, with assistance from Flowers by Jordan Marie styling stunning jewel toned flowers complementing the navy blue tablecloths, creating a delightful Napa Valley ambiance. Amanda looked absolutely elegant in her old Hollywood inspired wedding gown from Miosa Bridal, paired with a stylish kinky curl updo and a birdcage veil. On the other hand, Tami chose a custom made navy windowpane suit crafted by Indochino.

The getting ready process was kept simple as both brides prepared for their special day in the same house. Due to limited time and warm weather outside, we primarily captured indoor moments but managed to squeeze in some group photos just outside the main entrance. It's incredible what can be achieved within one location when it is well designed with studio quality lighting streaming in through the windows. The ceremony itself was bathed in bright sunlight... Not all venues without shade provide even lighting for the couple due to their placement on site, but what I truly appreciate about Wolfe Heights is how it ensures an equal distribution of sunlight on both individuals.

The layout of the venue is quite unique compared to other places I've worked at, but I really love how it allows me to capture the guests from all angles during the ceremony when they are spread out. Right after taking family portraits, we were able to start capturing more enjoyable moments by going to the olive grove during golden hour. We had a few minutes left of the sun setting, so we took additional photos in the upper vineyard before heading back to the party.

For the rest of the reception, everyone gathered under beautiful string lights on the patio. After an incredible dinner service by Hidden Table, DJ Mike from Mr Dj Event Services got everyone up on their feet and dancing under a sky full of stars throughout the night.
