Mitalie + Olivier’s North Lake Tahoe Indian Wedding on Kings Beach

Olivier and Mitalie summer wedding at Lake Tahoe had to of been one of my favorites from last year. With all the color, beautifully overcast skies and effortless portraiture made this couple so easy to photograph.

Their story begins when they crossed paths in Reno, Nevada while the bride was still making her rounds in medical school. They had been together for five years, and have relocated to various cities, when Olivier proposed during Christmas 2020. They decided to celebrate their wedding where their love story began, choosing the North Tahoe Event Center in Kings Beach for their day making it a true destination wedding that brought guests from all corners of the country.

Considering Mitalies background they opted for a beautiful Hindu Indian ceremony on the beach. The coordination and design were expertly handled by Karen Steele from Tahoe by Design. Despite some rain during the ceremony a few guests embraced it with umbrellas while others sought shelter under building overhangs. However Mitalie and Olivier remained radiant throughout the event not allowing the downpour to dampen their spirits. In fact it conveniently cleared out any beachgoers from the background and gave their photos some very dramatic clouds.

The couple later changed their outfits for the reception, continuing the celebration late into the evening… the party was still very lively by the time our coverage ended.
