Holly and Michael's spring wedding at the Grand Island Mansion was a beautiful celebration with perfect weather, and, of course, a gorgeous venue. Having met in a theater class at college, their relationship had blossomed since October 2016, then got engaged at Disneyland during the holiday season of 2017. It was a magical proposal at the happiest place on earth that set the tone for their “happily ever after” themed wedding.

Holly looked absolutely stunning in her form fitting Élysée bridal wedding dress, which she fell in love with at Trudys Bridal. The floral arrangements by CL Decor added a touch of spring elegance to the wedding. Pastel pink and purple roses, along with blue hydrangeas, created a harmonious color palette that added a soft and delicate feel to the venue. It’s not too often the gazebo is used for ceremonies nowadays, so it was quite refreshing to see the shaded garden of the mansion utilized with such an elaborate Pinterest worthy floral design.

Following the ceremony, a buffet-styled dinner was held in the mansion's iconic Colonnade room, providing an intimate and elegant setting for the newlyweds and their guests. After we snuck away to take advantage of golden hour for photos on the river’s edge, the couple entered their reception downstairs in the courtyard, where the upbeat atmosphere was enhanced by music provided by Sound Wave Mobile DJ.

Grand Island Mansion is one of my most visited wedding venues in Sacramento, I am there so often I’m just waiting for one of the rooms to be named after me, lol! There is no shortage of photo ops and I hope to continue to attend, and photograph, many more weddings in the near future.
