Julian + Ashmita’s Winter Lake Tahoe Engagement Session at Sand Harbor
Being a wedding photographer in Sacramento, I am so lucky to have beautiful locations only a couple hours drive in any direction. Julian and Ashmita's chose to have their engagement session at Sand Harbor, located on the east coast of Lake Tahoe. Just two hours east of Sacramento, the serene lake, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, provided a picturesque winter wonderland for our backdrop.
They started their engagement session with a cozy and casual vibe; Ashmita wearing a golden yellow sweater covered by a puffy white jacket with black leggings, while Julian picked a white sweater to best display his beautiful black cross he wore around his neck, paired with a camel colored canvas jacket and blue jeans. The warm tones of their outfits complimented Tahoe’s famous crystal blue waters, as they held hands and shared laughs strolling along the snow dusted beach.
When the sun began to set, Julian and Ashmita changed into a more formal attire.... Ashmita looked stunning in a sequin blue dress, while Julian chose a classic black suit. We took advantage of the last bit of golden hour and continued shooting into my favorite time of day, blue hour. It was cold, but they were troopers frolicking around the rocks of Sand Harbor as if they weren’t fazed by the temperature dropping as fast as it was, lol!
Lake Tahoe held a special place in Julian and Ashmita's hearts, as it was a significant location for their relationship where they created cherished memories together and they were thrilled to capture their engagement photos in such a meaningful place.
