Spring Wedding Ceremony in Greenhouse at Angel Wing Farm, Rancho Murieta

I have been a wedding photographer in Sacramento for many years, and have not seen a location quite like the greenhouse on Angel Wing Farm in Rancho Murieta. Within close proximity of the Murieta Inn and Spa (a gorgeous wedding venue itself), Angel Wing Farm is an up and coming option to hold an outdoor wedding ceremony amongst a beautiful horse ranch, vineyards and gardens of the Murieta Horse Complex just off of CA-16, 25 miles Southeast of Downtown Sacramento. The key to getting married in a greenhouse, in Sacramento, is choosing the right time of year… it’s no secret that it gets HOT here in the summer, so the best months to get married at a location like this would be November - March, and maybe inching into April.

Taylor and Scott’s April wedding, just this past year, led their designer/planner Aimee Wendell with 2Chic Events to put her back-up plan into place with on and off showers the week leading up to the event. Being the professional that she is, Plan B, C and D were already on call for these worse case scenarios to look like it was planned that way all along. Definitely one of the perks to hiring a professional to do all the worrying for you, so all you have to do is show up! Lucky for us, it turned to be a beautiful day for portraits… I couldn’t have asked for better clouds! It also helped that Taylor’s mom has her amazing estate on the property to utilize for the bride’s getting ready photos and the couple’s romantics after the ceremony. Since Taylor grew up in the area, and her whole family has raised horses, along with competing in the cutting horse world, it only made sense to include one of her mother’s prized horses in some golden hour photos.

Another wonderful element added to this event, was flipping the greenhouse from ceremony to after-party during the reception, where they served late night snacks (including my favorite, grilled cheese sandwiches!), opened a cigar bar, and transitioned the music from a live band to a club DJ.
