I’ve been photographing food and people for the Good Eating Company for a few years now, I never thought I would take on product photography, being more of an event photographer my whole life, but I really enjoyed the structure and challenge of recreating a look to match the International branding of the business.

When I think food photos, I do not automatically think of shooting everything with hard directional light, but that was precisely the look the Good Eating Company was striving for. We had two full days of completing a certain number of dishes (along with a few action shots for each chef) and to keep it all looking like we had direct sunlight coming through a filtered window for the full 8+ hour days…. thus we needed to recreated the sun and curtain look to keep up with the consistency of all the dishes.

Photographing food is like photographing art, which is probably why I had such a great time collaborating with everyone to style each shot. x
