Northwestern Mutual’s Charity Golf Tournament at Granite Bay Golf Club

A few weeks ago, I was asked by Northwestern Mutual financial adviser, Jake LaFond, if I might be available to photograph a charity golf tournament event at Granite Bay Golf Club, raising money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer. I, unfortunately, wasn’t available for the later half of the day but was able to photograph all morning of the actual golfing and sponsors. Most of the coverage consisted of capturing the sponsors and golfers as they make their way through the course, participating in all the fun activities at each stop.

Jake and I met when I photographed him for a Real Producers Magazine feature, and we have been keeping in contact ever since. This tournament stays close to his heart because of a young cousin battling leukemia.

Granite Bay Golf Club is a beautiful golf course just outside of Sacramento, it’s a venue I frequent on the regular for weddings more than anything, but they are also known to host a number of these charity tournaments throughout the year.
